Classroom Kickoff Event
Presented by CalmWater Financial Group
The “CalmWater Cares Program” wrapped up the year with a few last gifts for 2020. Early in 2020 Ross Petersen with the Orphan Grain Train (OGT) visited CalmWater with a request for help in funding their new Servant Center at their Norfolk, NE location. The Orphan Grain Train is a nonprofit organization that shares personal and material resources with people in need in America and around the world. The new Servant Center will allow all services provided by the OGT to be in one building, providing a more efficient use of their space and ample parking for volunteers and people bringing donated items. When the Pandemic hit there seemed to be so many causes that needed immediate attention.
As the Pandemic went on, the CalmWater Cares Committee kept the OGT project on the radar, hoping to have funds in the budget to help. In late December CalmWater reached out to Ross Petersen to share the good news that we would be able to make a donation of $5,000 to this worthy cause.
